RISOGRAPH PHOTOGRAPHY ZINE

Our lives are a search for beauty, but much of the journey is spent in waiting. The true significance lies not in whether we achieve our dreams, but in how we choose to wait. We can wait with hope, intention, and love, or with impatience and doubt. Just as we cannot rush the blooming of the Chompoo Pantip, everything has its own rhythm. In the heart of Bangkok, Chatuchak Park comes alive every February with the blossoming of Chompoo Pantip (Tabebuia Rosea), or locally known as Sakura Thailand. The trees, stripped of leaves during their flowering season, display large pastel pink to light purple flowers, brightening the dry winter months. These blooms appear in cycles, sometimes lasting only a few days before fading, only to bloom again—reminding us that beauty often comes in fleeting moments, but always returns in time. Sometimes, we must simply allow time to unfold.

These photographs, captured in 2023, reflect that very patience. I waited three years to publish this work because, like the flowers themselves, ideas need time to bloom. Life will inevitably bring beauty into our path, but it is how we wait that shapes the experience. We may feel as though we are inching closer to it, only to see it drift farther away, like a mirage. Yet, the waiting period is not wasted—it's where we learn to appreciate the journey, to savor the moment, and to grow in anticipation. When the beauty of life finally arrives, it will feel more meaningful because of the wait. And the process of waiting itself will have become just as beautiful.
